i do not know how many mothers do this, but i think back to my pregnancy. often. i have a friend, amy, delivering her baby via c-section tomorrow morning. we were talking last week about labor. she did not labor at all with her first
baby as she had a planned c-section due to the baby being so big. i laugh b/c amy got to experience labor pains last week for about an hour and was shocked. she talked about having to hunch over in such pain. she then became thankful for c-sections!
amy was telling me how different her weekend was going to be
knowing monday morning the baby would be here. you c-section friends know what that is all about. like a dentist appointment or something. my mind can not even fathom. i know nothing other than the unexpected.
these pics are from my early friday morning that began at 1:30am on dec7. by 7:30am, adam was getting a kick out of me being unable to stand up straight with the contractions. hunching over makes everything seem a tid bit more tolerable. after adam had to take a picture out of humor, i made him take one of us as a family of two for the last time at home. do i look like i have been up all night in pain or what? fake smile? chubby cheeks?
i love the miracle of pregnancy and birth. this weekend i have just been thinking and i pray amy has a blessed delivery.
