books

my dad is such a role model in so many ways... one of his ways is in his love for reading books. dad finds the best books to tell us all about (my family also shares this love for reading. becca and i always have a book in our purse to pull out at any moment. leigh can only read about the human body these days and those books do not fit in her purse. mom carries a whole library in her car and reads from all of them at the same time.). i just finished reading these two books and i wish the author had more. i read both of them in a couple of days. so hooked.
i highly recommend these two books. "a thousand splendid suns" would be my fav of the two. the emotions that book took me through, was more than i was expecting. i was surprised again and again.

one of the emotions i was overwhelmed with relating to was the love for a child. people tried to explain it to me before i had a kid. then i had a baby and went flying with this new love i had for MY son but did not know what to do with the feeling. but when my hormones calmed, i got it. this is the indescribeable love between a parent and child! i am getting it. and i think i will keep getting more of it as the years go by. ( i also have this new window that opened for me to grasp how much my parents love me and how much God loves me. wow.) WHAT A BLESSING! God is good!

that is just one of the emotions i went through. read them for yourself!

started Kite Runner last night based on the suggestion from my mom and you .... (I had forgotten that you read .... but, now that you reminded me about our conversation at the Harris house - I remembered!)

i am thinking about having SC on the 26th of July. I sent an email to kat to see their availability.

Hey!That is so wierd! My husband just brought Kite Runner home tonight and set it on our kitchen counter! My sister has read it and loved it and had let him borrow it awhile back although he never read it! I need a new book so I'll start it! I LOVE to read -do we need to start a book club? (in our spare time? Yeah, right!)
