is it possible to fall more in love with your child? (i know it is with your husband most of the time, so i should have known) i have always heard parents talk about this overwhelming love at first sight when baby pops out. yes, that
happened. but, i have fallen more in love with my child these days and did not know i could be any more in love with him. i do not hear parents talk about this part.
i mentioned in an earlier post that mommy hood is getting funner and funner. aj does these new things everyday that fill me with more and more love. he looks at me longer and listens to me talk. he belly-giggle laughs at me. he "hugs" and "kisses" me. he pinches and pulls my hair. he talks to me. he lets me read books to him. i just love it all, and can not even imagine how much more i will continue to be filled with this love for my son. (these things really help my hormones)
fun tidbit: we went to the doctor last week for aj's 4 month checkup. he is 28 1/4 inches long and almost 17 pounds. adam was 26 inches and 17 pounds when he was 4 months. maybe aj will be taller than adam! (adam calls aj his 6'8" pitcher)

he is getting so big. when i saw him last week, he looked like a different baby!! and yes, you will continue to fall more and more in love. just when i think i am about to pop with love for dylan, it grows even deeper!! it is really amazing the way the Lord wired a mama's love for her little ones...
LOVED seeing ya'll, and can't wait to see pictures of him eating his big boy cereal!!

Erin -
I have meant to write so many times and never had a chance.
Yes, this is all so true -I was also one of these moms who did not really just adore the itsy baby stage and felt guilty about that for awhile, but then I realized as Mack got older how much I soooo loved walks to the creek and picnics to the park or pillow fights or whatever.
So I was more prepared to deal with that when Levi came along and didn't feel as much like a bad mom b/c I knew the love would just continue to grow and grow!!!
Thanks for sharing your heart - Love, Mandy Chapman
